Zukunftsmut in Team Offsites
In my role as a systemic coach & transformation facilitator, I work with teams in offsites to help them position themselves well for the future.
At the beginning, I frequently experience a certain problem trance: the discussions revolve around scarce resources and challenging framework conditions. The focus increasingly narrows.
But how can we strenghten a teams' ability to develop shared visions of the future? And how can they develop the courage to face the future together and trust in their own resources?
1️⃣** Best Possible Future meets Wonder Question:**
I invite teams to enter a time warp and imagine a best possible future where all obstacles are removed. It's amazing to see the visionary ideas that can emerge when we dream freely and imagine desirable futures. This broadens our view and brings a lot of ease into the room.
2️⃣** The second-best solution:**
If the ideal solution seems unattainable, I encourage the team to think about the second-best solution. This opens up new possibilities and greater greater freedom of action. The attention is drawn back to the team's own skills and abilities.
3️⃣** Metaphor of sailing by sight:**
Which small, realistic steps are we able to take right now in order to achieve tangible progress? What would make the attractive future goal more tangible today, even if it still seems a long way off? This perspective encourages everyone involved to set out on the path despite the uncertainties and releases a lot of energy.
